Mark Halliday led 13 bikes to the Lakeside café and miniature railway in Eastleigh supported (many thanks) by roadcrew Steve Routh and Dave Ballinger. The weather was great and nice ride down through Midhurst, Petersfield and then off the 272 through some lovely countryside before arriving at our destination. The café did breakfasts all round – before we had a play with the trains. After an hour or so we then headed on to Southampton HD which was only another 15 minutes around the M27 and M271 so would have been rude not to as we were in the area. We had a mooch around, looked at the bikes and purchased some nick-nacks, for another 30 before heading back a more direct route up the M3 hitting the A31 (where the ride ended officially) back to GHD. No issues to report.
Ride was about 110 miles in total and everybody seemed to have a good time. Great day out!
