Goodwood Aerodrome

Posted On 3rd June 2023

Ride Leader: Julian Bennet

Glorious weather, 40-45 miles each way.
Met at G H-D for a 9.30 departure as the café stops serving breakfast at 11!
About 26 bikes approximately left the dealership headed out to Compton and onto the A3. Kept the speed down to try and bunch up the pack and rode down to Liphook where we took the B2070 towards Rake and the outskirts of Petersfield. Before turning off we pulled into the side of the road in Hill Brow to bunch the pack back up.
We took the B2199 to South Harting where we turned right onto the B2146 heading to West Marden onto Funtingdon. Going left towards Eash Ashling and then left for Lavant and onto Goodwood, going under the track to the Aerodrome Café.
Somehow the ride got split after South Harting, with half of the ride taking the B2141 to North Marden and onto Goodwood.
Ride back was via Goodwood Racecourse, onto Selhurst Park road to the A285 going left for Petworth. Then the A272 for Wisborough Green taking Durbans Road towards Loxwood, onto the A281 through Bramley and back to the dealership.
Road Crew were Paul C and Stephen F for the initial ride out, Dave O’B stepping into help with picking up the drop offs for the split ride, Hamish R helped with the main ride. Roger B and Al DM assisting the other Road Crew with the ride incident on the B2141.
Al and Dave back marked the ride back to G H-D
