Charities Officer – Applications invited for this role

Linda has done a Stirling job in managing the Charity fundraising and distribution over the last year, but will be stepping down to concentrate her time on running the Chapter’s Activities program.

So we are now inviting applications from our members for the role of Charities Officer. This role is open to any member (female/male/rider or pillion) who has been a full Chapter member for at least 12 months and is not a member of another Chapter.

The role involves identifying opportunities within the Chapter calendar for raising funds for the selected charities, banking and accounting for donations and reporting to the Committee, and the distribution of funds as agreed by Committee, in accordance with the Chapter bylaws. Linda will be on hand to help the successful candidate find their feet in the role.

This is a Committee role, and the appointment will be decided by majority vote by the Committee. The post will be for an initial 3 year term, and the role is also open to current serving officers. As a Discretionary Officer role, the appointment entails full membership of the Hogsback Chapter UK Committee and attendance at the quarterly meetings is expected, as well as attending all major Chapter events and Club Nights.

The closing date for applications for this role is 30 June 2024, and applications will be considered and voted upon by at the Committee meeting scheduled for the 18 July to  enable a start date of 1 August 2024.
