  • Hogsback Chapter Boot Sale at GHD

    Description:

Have you still got that old Harley related part sitting in your garage gathering dust?

Well here’s the ideal opportunity to get some “dosh” back into your pocket.

Hogsback Chapter will be manning a few tables specifically for members use and with 15% of members sales automatically donated to our nominated charities we should all have happy faces.  In the dealership carpark area - starts around 9:30am

If you want to sell anything on the day then you must label each of your items with your name, telephone details and selling price. We will endeavor to get that price, or as near to it, for you but we want to have sold everything by lunchtime.

Please do be realistic about prices though. 'Asking prices' not far off new prices, do not tend to sell.

If you really want to haggle for a particular price then you really must be there at the table in person. We would welcome your assistance.

You must deliver your items in a box or boxes to the dealership on the Friday 17th May 2024 from after lunch until closing and ask for Aaron Presley. NOT A LOAD OF LOOSE ITEMS PLEASE. That really would be a nightmare. So please box them up.

Of course you can always bring down your items on the day.

Any help on the day to man the tables will be very welcome, so please email roger.bonnici@hogsbackchapteruk.org to confirm your help.

So get rummaging in that garage now and good luck!

    Description:

This year Dell will be leading a ride Friday to the Royal Agricultural University at Cirencester.

We will depart from GHD at approximately TIME TBC for Cirencester and the Cotswolds.

We will take some less ridden roads towards the M4 J15 (via A31, A325, A287, A30, A339, A4, B4192 and A419) avoiding the M4 if possible, to arrive in Cirencester around check-in time, giving you time to have a look around, freshen-up ready for the bar opening at 4pm.

The B4192 takes the ride over the M4 and joins the A419 dual carriageway which becomes Cirencester Road.  Then eventually right onto Stroud Road and the entrance to RAU.  Calcutt Services are about 15 minutes before Cirencester and that has been the usual fuel stop for smaller tanks. However most sportsters should be able to do 80 miles without refueling.

There will also be time on Saturday morning to get fuel at one the local garages before the Saturday ride-out.

The ride is approximately 85 miles and 1 hour 45 minutes.  If I can find somewhere safe to stop on-route I will.  However trying to accommodate > 50 bikes and trikes in a layby could be challenge!
