Dave & Liz are going to Weymouth for the beach motocross, they will be staying at the Haven Weymouth Bay Holiday park , Preston, Weymouth. 

If anyone is interested in joining, you will need to book yourself in to the park for the 9th, 10th and 11th of October departing Monday 12th. 

There is a bar/ restaurant on site and takeaway facilities. There is a bus stop outside the site with regular buses into Weymouth . 

If anyone is interested there will be a ride down from GHD on the Friday and a ramble round the rolling Dorset countryside on Saturday, beach racing on Sunday.

An interesting, inexpensive late season weekend away.

Join Al for a gentle bimble through the Surry Hills to Amberley where the Amberley Museum is holding a bonkers Steampunk Weekend with airship racing, train and bus ride and all kinds of crazy stuff going on. Not to mention loads of weirdos dressed as Steampunks.

There is a cafe/restaurant on site, or we can go and find a pub for something to eat.

Meet at the Ragged Robin at 0930 for a 1000 departure. About 4 miles each way.

Meet at GHD at 100 for a 1303 departure.


We will ride to Sykes HD, where we will meet with 1066 chapter, they will then marshal the escort ride. I intend to ride as far as the crematorium then return to GHD. There will be no cafe stop so may I suggest you bring something to eat.

Carol’s funeral service will be held on 15th October at 2:00pm at Wealden Crematorium, followed by a Celebration of Life at Wellshurst Golf Club from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Carol’s Final Ride

Those motorcyclists wishing to take part in Carol’s final ride are asked to assemble at:

Holmes Hill Estate

Please arrive by 12:30pm for a 12:45pm pre-ride briefing.

We will depart Sykes promptly at 1:00pm for the short ride to Carol’s home in Hailsham. From there, we will be joined by Carol for her final ride to the crematorium.  This ride will be marshalled by 1066 Chapter but is open to all riders.

Meet at GH-D 10:00 for 10:30 stands up.
Approx 1hr 40min and 45 miles to destination.

Starting at the Ragged Robin meet at 10am stands up at 10:15am

40 mile round ride down through some twisty and small country roads and will come back via a different route.

Join Dave for a mix of A and B roads through the glorious Surrey and Sussex countryside, taking in some seafront riding through Brighton to the clifftop cafe at Roedean.

Ride suitable for all, about 1 1/2 hours and 44 miles

Food Bank ride led by Jackie from GHD leaving at 10.30, arriving at Food Bank site for 11.  

Returning to GHD about 12 to support Harleyween.  

Maybe a wee prize for best spooky fancy dressed rider and bike.

The Christmas lunch menu is now available!

We’ve got a fantastic menu to choose from this year:

Two courses – £33.95 per person
Three courses – £39.95 per person

There’s plenty of time to decide, but if you like to get your Christmas plans organised and paid for nice and early, you’re very welcome to send your choices and payment over whenever you’re ready. Then you can forget all about it until Christmas – and don’t worry, I’ll keep a list of what everyone has ordered! 😂

I need to have everyone’s menu choices and payment by Friday 20th November, so that I can get everything finalised and paid across to The Bricklayers.

If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please don’t feel that this means you can’t join us. The team at The Bricklayers were incredibly helpful last year and did a brilliant job of accommodating different requirements.

Just let me know what you need and I can speak to Carl and the team, or you’re very welcome to contact The Bricklayers yourself if you’d prefer to discuss something specific. If you arrange anything directly, please just let me know what has been agreed so I can add it to my list and remind them nearer the time.

It should be another really lovely afternoon together and a great way to celebrate Christmas with our Ladies of Harley family. ❤️🎄🏍️
